Through this site, we hope to be able to equip you to lead your small group well and make that process easy for you. This site is split into grade levels to best equip you to lead your small group in the vision and direction we believe God has given the Fuse team. What we hope for these grade level objectives is to help you to have clear expectations for what we want for your small group.
Welcome to Westover's TouchPoint training! This first video is, as titled, the basics of TouchPoint. You'll learn the layout and more about your profile, as well as details regarding creating an account.
The purpose of these videos is to help explain how to create and send an email for an involvement. As a reminder, an involvement is a class or small group. Sending emails is a huge way to stay in touch with those in your involvement: to communicate details of events, explain a new study, send out announcements, prayer requests, resources, etc! I would go so far as to say it’s a vital way to connect digitally with those in your group. And, it’s also important that we email through TouchPoint, since any changes made in a person’s email is automatically updated here in the database.
The purpose of this video is to show how to take attendance on your computer. We go through scheduled meeting times and creating a meeting time to take attendance. An explanation is provided for the attendance screen. A brief overview is provided in the video for taking attendance over the mobile app, but the below instructions gives the needed visuals and explanation.
Freshmen Year - Connecting with Him
For their first year in small group, our desire is that they camp out in the Gospel. We want them to discover God’s plan for their life by digging further into this foundational truth. The Gospel is what the rest of their walk with Christ grows from, so we want to equip them to know it, but also truly believe it. Since Freshman year is focusing on this one central truth, it creates space for your group to set its rhythm without the pressure of trying to discuss all the many other topics there are during your time.
Sophomore Year - Growing in Him
Coming off of their first year of small group, being saturated in the goodness of the Gospel, our hope during their Sophomore year is that they would take that Gospel message and start to think about how it applies to all of life around them. We encourage you to discuss topics of identity, relationships (friends, dating, family), developing their own spiritual disciplines, etc. In discussing these topics, our desire is that they would see how Christ’s love affects all of these areas of life.
Junior Year - Living for Him
How in their everyday lives can they reflect God to others? By this point, they know that the Gospel touches everything in their lives, so how can it move from something personal, to something they’re sharing with others. In their Junior year, our hope is that they would dig deeper into what sets them apart from this world as followers of Jesus. We want them to learn how they can live holy lives, while graciously inviting others to meet Jesus. We want them to feel equipped to carry the good news of Jesus to those around them.
Senior Year - Leading with Him
In their final year, we would love to see our Seniors tap into two major areas of growth. The first being how to be leaders. In closing out their time in high school and stepping into what God has for them next, we desire to equip them to lead people to find Jesus. We want them to feel like they have the God-given ability to help others connect with, grow in, and live for Jesus, just like they have. Secondly, we want them to rest. This is a crazy and often scary time for them, so we want their last year of small group to be a place where they find refuge. We want them to find peace and abide in the one who has them in His hands. He is their Good Father, and we want them to walk away from the ministry knowing and believing that He is their greatest treasure in life.
